Betty Zimmerman, 87, of Bowling Green, Ohio, passed away November 11, 2016. She was born December 6, 1928 in Waynesboro, Pennsylvania to Ortho M. and Lillian (Davis) Birely. She married Raymond Bowman, they later divorced and he preceded her in death. She then married Robert Zimmerman and he preceded her in death in 1982.
Betty enjoyed being a housewife and cleaning houses. Her hobbies included crocheting and needle point.
She is survived by her son John (Mary) Caufman, daughters Linda (Bill) Harris, Karen Kervin and Marlene (Paul) Goodman, brother Edward (Deloris) Birely, sisters Dorothy Rippeon and Madeline Harbaugh. She is also survived by her grandchildren Michael Harris, Bruce Harris, Amy Kervin, Jamey Kervin, Ryan Kraft, Linn Goodman, Tasha Goodman, Jeremiah Gunnett, Jessica Gunnett, Jessica Cantrell and Barbara Caufman and 16 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her son Eddie Gunnett, son-in-law Joseph Kervin, brother Archie Varner and sisters Alice Caufman, Catherine Peters and Luttie Miller and brother-in-laws Donald Miller and Gene Rippeon.
A funeral service will be held on Monday November 14, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. at Dunn Funeral Home, located in the Historical District of Bowling Green at 408 West Wooster Street. Visitation will begin Monday at 1:00 p.m. Pastor Melanie Haack will officiate. Interment will follow at Green Lawn Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be given in her memory to BG Manor or Hospice of Northwest Ohio.
