The Bowling Green Chamber of Commerce has announced that nominations are now open for its 2026 annual awards, to be presented during the annual meeting dinner and awards on Friday, April 3, 2026. These honors celebrate the outstanding achievements, leadership, and community spirit that make Bowling Green a remarkable place to live, work, and do business.
Each year, the chamber recognizes businesses, individuals, and organizations whose contributions strengthen the community, and residents are encouraged to submit nominations to help shine a spotlight on those who exemplify the best of Bowling Green.
The 2026 annual awards categories include:
- ATHENA & ZEUS awards
- The ATHENA and ZEUS awards celebrate the achievements of women leaders and the individuals who champion and support them. These awards honor those who demonstrate professional excellence, community service, and a commitment to uplifting and empowering women in the region.
- Outstanding citizens of the year – male & female
- These awards recognize individuals who have demonstrated exceptional leadership and dedication to the betterment of Bowling Green. Honorees contribute through business involvement, civic engagement, social endeavors, and service-oriented organizations – making a lasting, positive impact on the community.
- Greg Kegler volunteerism award
- Named in honor of Greg Kegler, this award celebrates individuals whose extraordinary volunteer efforts significantly support the chamber’s mission. It highlights those who serve as role models for chamber investors through their ongoing commitment and service.
- I Love BG award
- The “I Love BG” award honors an individual or organization that actively promotes the visibility, vitality, and positive image of Bowling Green. Recipients help enhance quality of life and foster a deep sense of community pride.
- Outstanding customer service award
- This award recognizes chamber investor businesses that go above and beyond in delivering exceptional customer service. Honorees demonstrate a commitment to excellence, professionalism, and a customer-first mindset that strengthens the local business community.
- Small business of the year award
- This award celebrates chamber investor businesses that demonstrate excellence in management, workplace culture, innovation, and community or social responsibility. These businesses exemplify the entrepreneurial spirit that drives Bowling Green’s growth and success.
Nominations are open now through Saturday, Jan 31, 2026. Applications may be submitted online at the chamber’s website here or picked up in-person at 217 S. Church St.
All award recipients will be honored at the annual meeting dinner and awards on Friday, April 3, 2026, where community members, leaders, and businesses will come together to recognize the accomplishments that make Bowling Green strong, vibrant, and united.
