BG Chamber of Commerce to host ribbon-cutting for pickleball courts

The Bowling Green Chamber of Commerce has announced the ribbon-cutting for the outdoor pickleball courts at the Community Center, 1245 W. Newton Road, Bowling Green. The official ceremony will take place on Thursday, Oct. 23, at 4 p.m.

“The location is perfect, as pickleball players in BG have been playing inside the Community Center for years,” said Kristin Otley, director of Bowling Green Parks and Recreation.

Pickleball is a sport for all ages and is especially popular with retirees. The construction of eight new outdoor pickleball courts stands as a testament to the dedication and passion of the Bowling Green pickleball community. This project was made possible through fundraising efforts and a partnership with the Bowling Green Parks and Recreation Foundation.
