THE STORY:

Told as an origin story, we meet Robin Hood as an orphaned youth in a prosperous and thriving Nottingham.  Robin has arrived with his twin sister Hazel, where they plan to open an archery shop.  First, however, they must win the favor of Lady Blackwood.

To make things more difficult, the Sheriff of Nottingham, who has spies lurking all around, including his daughter Marian, is in cahoots with Lady Blackwood.  They plan to wed and increase their power over Nottingham by taxing the people blind.

Robin and Hazel quickly make friends in town — Friar Tuck, Little John, and Sayra, Little John’s fierce warrior daughter — but are soon driven away by the evil sheriff. Retreating to Sherwood Forest, Robin and his band of outlaws vows to restore Nottingham to a land of prosperity and hope.

In the Opening scene, we are in the Nottingham Market place.  After the Minstrel (Sofia Swaisgood) begins our tale, we meet the Merchants–Avalee (Emmy Jacubowski), Linnaen (Naomi Ewuzie), the Porter (James Keylock) and Little John the blacksmith (Justus Angel) along with his daughter, Sayra (Alaina Baker).

Also in the Market place we meet the Beggar (Cara Robison), the mysterious Scarlet Will (Maddie Boron), Friar Tuck (Darryn Grills) AND the very snooty Lady Blackwood (Bella Armentano).  Enter Robin Hood (Chase Armentano) and his sister Hazel (Adelyn Davis) who are looking for a place to sell archery supplies and find a new home.

The Convent is part of the community with Mother Mary (Lexi Jakutowitcz), Sister Patience (Maycee Hotz), Sister Forthright (Caroline Cooley) and the Orphans (Quillen Reza), (Will Kessler) and (Ella Bowman) plus Sam (Ethan Davis).

In Scene 2 we meet The Sheriff (Ethan Watkins) who is engaged to Lady Blackwood and his Marshall (Michael Bruhl),  along with the cohort of soldiers who follow their nefarious orders — Sir Guy (Noah Reger), Sir Divvy (Nic Fecht), and Regan (Nathan Malanga). The Sheriff’s daughter, Maid Marian (Abby Watkins) spies for her father as he is egged on by Lady Blackwood to bleed the villagers dry!

It isn’t long before personalities clash and Robin and his friends are fighting to help the villagers be free.
