Parents looking for a night out without the kids will soon get an assist from the Bowling Green Community Center. The Bowling Green Parks & Recreation Department is bringing back the Parents’ Night Out programs on select Friday nights in October, November and December.

These programs will be an opportunity for parents to drop their kids off at the Bowling Green Community Center while they get some time to themselves. Children ages 5 to 12 are invited to join in at the Community Center for a Friday night of activities, including games, arts & crafts, gym time, funny videos, and the Freedom Climber rotating climbing wall.

Registration is limited to the first 20 kids and the program sessions have sold out quickly since their introduction last year. The Parents’ Night Out sessions are scheduled for 5-9 p.m. on the following Fridays:

  • Oct. 13
  • Oct. 27
  • Nov. 10
  • Nov. 24
  • Dec. 8
  • Dec. 22

Children should eat dinner before being dropped off for the program. Parents are also welcome to send a snack with their child if needed. No food or snacks will be provided at the event.

The program costs are $12 per resident child per session, and $15 per non-resident child per session.
