Bowling Green Police responded to a crash in the 700 block of Napoleon Road, Wednesday (Sept. 13) around 2 a.m.
A Lexus reportedly missed the entrance to a parking lot, ran over a curb and struck a large tree head on. The vehicle was rendered inoperable due to heavy front end damage.
The driver, Connor Gdovin, 20, of Bowling Green, reportedly had slurred speech, watery eyes, sluggish movements and smelled of alcohol. While in the backseat of a police cruiser, Gdovin reportedly struck his head on the metal partition. Bowling Green Fire Division transported him to Wood County Hospital for treatment. While there, Gdovin reportedly agreed to submit a urine sample.
Gdovin was arrested for OVI and failure to maintain reasonable control of a vehicle. He was taken to Wood County Jail.
