The Bowling Green Fire Division will be joining the National Fallen Firefighters Foundation in honoring America’s fallen fire heroes by lighting up red this week through Sunday, May 4.
The National Fallen Firefighters Foundation is inviting landmarks, fire departments, community organizations, businesses, and families across the country to take part in this tribute leading up to National Fallen Firefighters Memorial Weekend.
The National Fallen Firefighters Memorial Weekend is the official national tribute to firefighters who made the ultimate sacrifice in the line of duty last year.
Some of the most iconic landmarks, including One World Trade Center in New York City, the Wrigley Building in Chicago, and the Reunion Tower in Dallas, as well as hundreds of fire departments and residents have joined in lighting their structures in red as a tribute.
