BG man arrested after allegedly stealing steaks, shrimp and snack foods from grocery

A Bowling Green man was arrested for theft after he allegedly stole three steaks, shrimp and snacks from Aldi, 1010 S. Main St.

BG Police were called to the store Monday (June 2) around 6 p.m., after the man reportedly filled a bag with items, then exited without going through the checkout. The woman who gave him a ride to and from the store told police she had no idea he was shoplifting.

Police found three Black Angus steaks and a pack of jumbo raw shrimp at the woman’s residence. The man reportedly told police he had already eaten all the other items, which were snack foods. The total amount stolen was $124.86.

The man was arrested for theft and obstructing official business, and taken to Wood County Jail.
