A Bowling Green man was arrested Sunday (Sept. 28) after he allegedly took another man’s vehicle while intoxicated and having a suspended license.
Bowling Green Police were called around midnight to Hampton Inn, in the 100 block of Campbell Hill Road. The owner of the vehicle said he had given Kenseth Ziegler, 22, the keys to his car and told him to get clothing out of it, and go to the store and buy drinks.
However, the GPS in the vehicle reportedly showed that Ziegler had driven to Pemberville. When Wood County Sheriff’s deputies arrived in Pemberville, the vehicle was no longer there.
Around 1 a.m., BGPD found the car in the 600 block of South Summit Street.
Ziegler was arrested for OVI, BAC of 0.190, unauthorized use of a vehicle, and driving under suspension. He was taken to Wood County Jail.
