A Bowling Green man was arrested for assault on a police officer and disorderly conduct with persistence on Tuesday (June 24) at 11 p.m., in the 900 block of Tomahawk Lane.

BG Police responded to the home for the second time that evening for Troy Rupp, 52, who was reportedly intoxicated and threatening to fight housemates and destroy the house. He was taken to Wood County Hospital to be cleared medically before going to Wood County Jail.

While in the emergency department, Rupp reportedly became aggressive, and kicked a police officer in the face. Rupp was also reportedly spitting blood around the room, so a spit hood was placed on his head.

According to the police report, Rupp told officers he had been in the military, he had killed more than 40 people, and he had training to “take out” the police officers.

He was taken to Wood County Jail.
