A Bowling Green man was killed in a two-vehicle crash Sunday just north of the city.
According to the Wood County Sheriff’s Office, Craig Kleine, 70, died from injuries sustained in the crash at the intersection of Haskins Road and Bishop Road, in Plain Township.
The crash involved a Mitsubishi Outlander and a Triumph motorcycle.
The investigation reportedly showed that the Mitsubishi, driven by Tiffany Crain, 42, of Bowling Green, was eastbound on Bishop, failed to yield at the stop sign, and was struck by the motorcycle traveling southbound.
Kleine, the operator of the motorcycle, was transported to Mercy St. Vincent Hospital by air ambulance. He was pronounced deceased at the hospital. Crain was reportedly not injured in the crash.
Assisting the sheriff’s office on location was Middleton Township Fire and EMS, Mid County 120, ODOT, Mercy St. V’s air ambulance, BG Towing and K&G Towing.
The crash is still under investigation.
