The Ohio Department of Education & Workforce has recognized two schools within the Bowling Green City School District for their exceptional progress and student growth.
Bowling Green Middle School and Conneaut Elementary earned spots among the 310 schools statewide honored with the Momentum Award. This recognition acknowledges districts and school buildings that have demonstrated outstanding improvements in achievement while also continuing to show student growth.
“We are incredibly proud of Bowling Green Middle School and Conneaut Elementary for earning the Momentum Award. This recognition is a testament to the dedication of our educators, staff, students, and families who continually strive for excellence in learning and growth,” said Bowling Green City Schools Superintendent Dr. Ted Haselman.
“Bowling Green Middle School is honored to be recognized with the Momentum Award. This achievement reflects the hard work and collaboration of our entire school community,” said Principal Eric Radabaugh.
Principal Alyssa Karaffa added, “Earning this award is a proud moment for Conneaut Elementary. It highlights our commitment to providing a quality education and a supportive community that prepares our students for success.”
To qualify for the Momentum Award, districts and buildings must demonstrate a significant improvement in their performance index, achieving a growth of three or more points from the previous academic year’s report card. Additionally, they must attain a value-added progress rating of four or more stars. Institutions with an overall rating of five stars are ineligible for this award.
