The City of Bowling Green Parks and Recreation Department is launching a new event for local families – the Spring Fling Family Dance Party, scheduled for Saturday, May 3, from 6-9 p.m., at the Bowling Green Community Center, located at 1245 Newton Road.
This event is designed to offer families with children ages 3 to 12 an evening of music, dancing, and interactive fun. The event will feature two designated dance areas to accommodate various age groups. The Community Center gymnasium will serve as a large dance floor with music curated for children ages 5 to 12, while the adjacent classroom will host a smaller dance space with preschool-friendly tunes available from 6-7:30 p.m.
In addition to dancing, the event will include games, crafts, and activities throughout the gym, lobby, and Play Zone game room. Families can also partake in light refreshments and snacks (dinner will not be provided), take photos in front of a themed backdrop, and each registered child will receive a goodie bag upon check-in.
Advance registration is required, and space is limited. All participants must be registered by Friday, April 25. Walk-up registrations will not be accepted. The event is open to children ages 3 to 12 and requires the presence of at least one accompanying adult. One adult may accompany multiple children.
Admission is $20 for a resident child and adult pair, and $24 for non-residents. Each additional person attending is $6.
Registration is available in person at the Bowling Green Community Center or online at https://buff.ly/ddlFtfu
