The Bowling Green Parks and Recreation Department has introduced IMPACTeens, a new volunteer program designed for teens ages 12 to 17. This initiative invites young people to actively contribute to the community while supporting the department’s mission to enhance quality of life through exceptional parks, programs, and facilities.
IMPACTeens aims to achieve the following goals:
I – Improve the Community: Engage in meaningful volunteer opportunities that give back to Bowling Green.
M – Motivate Peers: Inspire fellow teens to participate in positive programs and events, both as volunteers and participants.
P – Plan Activities: Collaborate with professional parks and recreation staff to design and organize events and activities.
A – Advocate for Youth: Represent the voices of teens, providing valuable input on improvements and additions the Parks & Recreation Department should consider.
C – Collaborate with Professionals: Work alongside staff to deliver programs and activities and ensure successful project completion.
T – Teens Join Us: We welcome all teens aged 12-17 to get involved in this opportunity to make a difference in the community.
Become a part of IMPACTeens and help shape the future of Bowling Green Parks and Recreation.
Interested individuals are encouraged to reach out to Recreation Coordinator Ivan Kovacevic at ivan@bgohio.org. Please include the following information in your email:
1. Your contact information: Name, email, age/grade, school, and phone number.
2. Parent contact information: Parent’s name, email, and phone number. (Please note that parental approval is required to participate, and we will contact parents with additional program details.)

Once the Parks & Recreation Department has a sufficient number of interested individuals, meetings will be scheduled to kick off the formation of this new group.
