Groups of men and women were arrested for fighting in two incidents over the weekend in downtown Bowling Green.
Four men were arrested for fighting in the downtown area on Saturday (9/7).
Bowling Green Police received a call around midnight about a fight in front of a bar in the 200 block of North Main Street.
When police got to the scene, multiple men reportedly ran rather than complying with orders to stop. One of the men, reportedly wearing a black ski mask, refused to stop for police but was found trying to hide in a bush along a chain link fence.
D’Andrae Brown, 21, Fremont, was arrested for rioting, prohibited acts, obstructing official business, falsification, open container and failure to disclose personal information. He was taken to Wood County Jail.
Others charged with disorderly conduct/fighting were: Dyrail Liggins, 26, Fremont; Johnathan Matthews Jr., 18, Fostoria; and JB Sims, 20, Fremont.
Bowling Green Police arrested four women Sunday (9/8) in the 100 block of East Wooster Street for aggravated rioting. The four were taken to Wood County Jail.
Police were called to the downtown block around 2:30 a.m. for a report of multiple people fighting.
When officers arrived, they separated people. Another officer went to the police station to view video from the downtown cameras.
The cameras reportedly showed the four women assaulting a man and woman in the block. Arrested were McKenzie Ziegler, 18, Tiffin; Mijah Carver, 20 Findlay; Isabella Atalaia, 18, Findlay; and Teayra Carver, 25, Mt. Blanchard.
According to the police report, the women pushed a victim into the street, punched both of them, put one in a headlock, threw both to the ground, and kicked them multiple times.
