Bowling Green Police responded to a call about a runaway juvenile who had assaulted another boy on Thursday (1/18) evening. Police found the 15-year-old on Klotz Road. He was reportedly intoxicated.
According to the police report, the boy had struck another teen in the face with a closed fist, then ran.
The boy was taken to Wood County Hospital to be checked out, charged with assault, then taken to the Wood County Juvenile Detention Center. He reportedly told police he would rather be in JDC than at home. Police recorded that he is home-schooled and there are concerns about his home environment.
