BG Police arrest man after he allegedly kicked down doors into 3 residences

A Bowling Green man was arrested early Monday (12/16) morning, after he allegedly kicked in doors to three residences in the 400 block of South Summit Street.

The man, Ekombe Walukeba, 22, reportedly was asked to leave a work Christmas party at a bar because of his level of intoxication. Around 1:15 a.m., Bowling Green Police Division began getting multiple 911 calls about burglaries in progress.

The residents of the apartments said a man, wearing a black shirt with a llama on it, asked to come into the residences because there were aliens with shotguns after him outside. When he was refused, he kicked in the doors.

It did not appear that Walukeba took anything from the apartments, but he panicked residents and broke down at least four doors.

Police found Walukeba in the llama shirt near the intersection of Lehman and South Enterprise streets. He appeared to be highly intoxicated. Three people identified him as the person who kicked in their doors and entered their apartments.

Walukeba was charged with three counts of burglary and three counts of criminal damaging, and was taken to Wood County Jail.
