A resident in the 700 block of Manville Avenue awoke this morning (11/13) to find an uninvited male in her apartment.
Bowling Green Police arrested Austin Lee Cochrun, 23, of Bowling Green, for burglary and took him to Wood County Jail.
The resident called police at 4:46 a.m. to say she was sleeping in her bedroom when she heard noises from the living room. She walked out to find a male searching through a closet. She immediately went back in her room, locked the door and called 911.
She told police she recognized the man as someone known to her boyfriend, but she never gave him consent to enter her home.
When police arrived, they were unable to open the door to the apartment due to a person lying on the floor blocking the doorway. Officers pushed through and found Cochrun, who reportedly emitted a strong odor of alcohol and was unable to maintain his balance.
On Wednesday, (11/12) Bowling Green Police arrested a Toledo man who ate at a local restaurant, broke his plate, then refused to leave around 2:20 p.m.
Nathaniel Woodby, 24, was arrested for criminal trespassing, criminal damaging, criminal mischief, and failure to disclose personal information to police. When police entered the restaurant in the 1500 block of East Wooster Street, Woodby reportedly jogged to one of the marked police cruisers and tried to open the driver’s door, which was locked. He was taken to Wood County Jail.
