BG Police arrest man for aggravated menacing and an active warrant

A Bowling Green man was arrested Saturday (12/14) evening after he reportedly refused to leave an apartment in the 1000 block of South Main Street.

Jarrod Michaelis, 47, was charged with aggravated menacing, and had an active warrant from an indictment in Wood County Common Pleas Court.

Residents of the apartment told BG Police that they had asked Michaelis to leave, but he refused. When one of the residents tried to call 911, Michaelis reportedly took her phone, pushed her onto a coffee table, and allegedly threatened to kill those in the apartment.

When Michaelis was placed in the back of the cruiser, he reportedly began kicking and rocking the police car back and forth. He was taken to Wood County Jail and warned to not return to the apartment.
