Bowling Green Police received a call Monday (Sept. 11) around 12:25 a.m., from a resident in the 500 block of East Merry Street, who said a man in a hoodie was looking in their back window and messing with the screen. The caller believed the man was trying to break into the apartment.
Police found a man, matching the description given to dispatchers, walking through the apartment parking lot. The man, Christopher Gray, 30, Toledo, reportedly began to run from an officer. The officer caught up to Gray in a BGSU parking lot.
A BGSU police officer on the scene said they had also received reports of a man looking in windows on campus.
Gray reportedly told police he was out for a run – in sandals. When he was searched, police reportedly found a ski mask in his hoodie.
Gray was arrested for attempted burglary and obstructing official business. He was taken to Wood County Jail.
