BG Police arrest two men over weekend for alleged domestic violence

Two men were arrested over the weekend for alleged domestic violence in Bowling Green.

On Friday (April 25) around 9:22 p.m., Bowling Green Police were called to an apartment in the 1000 block of Third Street, by a woman who reported her ex-husband had struck their child in the head and groin with his closed fist. The boy, who has autism, had reportedly been left in the man’s custody for the weekend.

The mother took the boy to Wood County Hospital, where reports were filed with Wood County Job and Family Services, and the Lucas County Board of Developmental Disabilities, where the victim receives services.

Derek Wilson, 37, of Bowling Green, was arrested for domestic violence and taken to Wood County Jail.

On Saturday (April 26) around 1:50 a.m., police were called to an apartment in the 1500 block of East Clough Street, for the report of a woman being struck in the neck by Bryson Basilius, 24, of Bowling Green.

Basilius reportedly had a 3-month-old with him at the time, plus a 6-year-old, who allegedly witnessed the assault. Basilius was arrested for domestic violence and taken to Wood County Jail.
