Bowling Green Police arrested a Detroit woman reportedly driving a stolen vehicle, with a strong odor of raw marijuana and bundles of cash in the car.
Sheralyn Carruthers, 33, was found at a gas station on East Wooster Street near Interstate 75, after the vehicle she was driving was identified by a license plate reader as being stolen. The rented 2023 black Toyota was reportedly stolen from Detroit.
The vehicle reportedly had a strong odor of raw marijuana, including in an empty suitcase, and Carruthers’ purse and wallet reportedly had bundles of cash, totaling $13,580. Further information is being sought to see if the car was possibly used for drug trafficking.
The driver was arrested for felony receiving stolen property and taken to Wood County Jail.
