A Bowling Green woman was arrested after she allegedly drove her Jeep Cherokee into the side of an apartment building in the 300 block of Napoleon Road.
BG Police were called to the scene Sunday (2/16) around 2:14 a.m., and found Madelyn Gerdeman, 23, in the vehicle, reportedly with an open bottle of vodka in the passenger seat.
The vehicle had crashed into a building, causing a great deal of damage to the brick exterior and to the apartment inside. Bowling Green Fire Department checked out the scene due to the smoke in the building caused by the crash.
Gerdeman was arrested for failure to control, OVI with a blood alcohol content of 0.22, and an open container of alcohol in the vehicle. Her driver’s license was confiscated.
Gerdeman was taken to Wood County Hospital to be cleared for incarceration at Wood County Jail.
