Bowling Green responded to a report of an unwanted guest in an apartment in the 100 block of West Wooster Street shortly after midnight on Sunday morning.
Samrach Touch, 41, of rural Bowling Green, was arrested for domestic violence and for violating a protection order, and was taken to Wood County Jail.
When police entered the apartment, several items were knocked over and a woman was locked in a bedroom. The woman told police that Touch threw her down several times and strangled her, and tripped over her 1-month-old baby. Touch reportedly had a temporary protection order to not have contact with the woman.
Bowling Green Fire Division transported the woman and baby to Wood County Hospital, and police went over domestic violence forms with the woman.
