Bowling Green Police Division is investigating a robbery that occurred this morning in the downtown area.
Chief Tony Hetrick said a female was reportedly accosted, around 9:20 a.m., in the 100 block of South Main Street, in front of Easy Street Cafe. The suspect did not use a weapon, but reportedly strong armed the woman to steal an item from her.
“It’s kind of bold to do that downtown in the morning,” Hetrick said.
Police have a suspect and are currently questioning him, the chief said at 9:30 a.m.
