Bowling Green Police responded to reports of shots fired Sunday (Aug. 24) around 2:15 a.m., near the corner of East Wooster and Prospect streets.
An officer was on patrol in Ziggy’s bar parking lot, when he heard a series of six gunshots coming from the downtown direction. A bystander pointed the officer to the first block of South Prospect Street.
Several officers responded to the area. One officer stopped a pickup truck that was hastily leaving a parking spot. The driver of the truck had two firearms in the vehicle, but both were cold and stored in cases – not having been fired recently.
Police located five shell casings on the east side of Guajillo’s restaurant at the corner of East Wooster Street and South Prospect Street.
