More vandalism was reported at City Park in Bowling Green last week.
Police responded to the Stone Shelter at the park on Thursday (July 27), around 7:33 a.m., after a city park and recreation employee reported more criminal damage at the park.
The vandalism occurred sometime between Wednesday around 5 p.m. and Thursday morning.
Empty cans of Four Loko alcohol had been found at the shelter house, gum had been smeared all over the ground, and words had been carved into wooden picnic tables.
Sunscreen was used to write on the concrete ledge of the shelter house and on picnic tables.
The city currently has a couple surveillance cameras in City Park. BGPD Lt. Adam Skaff said last week that more video cameras will be installed in the park in the next month or so. It is hoped these additional cameras will reduce the vandalism incidents in the park.
