BG Police respond to overnight breaking and entering at doughnut shop

During a busy weekend for Bowling Green Police Division, officers responded to a breaking and entering at Dunkin Donuts, 1049 S. Main St., that occurred sometime overnight before staff went into work Sunday (Aug. 25) around 4 a.m.

Also leading up to the weekend:

  • A resident in the 100 block of East Reed Street was cited for failure to contain an animal. Police received reports of the dog chasing children in the neighborhood, and an officer arrived to find the dog standing in the street. The county dog warden has reportedly responded to the same residence on numerous occasions for dogs running loose.
  • A man was cited in the 100 block of South Main Street for public urination, open container and smoking marijuana in public. He was taken to Wood County Jail when police discovered he had multiple active warrants for his arrest.
  • A 19-year-old male was arrested for underage consumption, obstructing official business since he reportedly ran from police, and having the driver’s license of a 78-year-old Pennsylvania woman.
