BG Police use pepper spray to stop fight and disperse crowd; one man arrested for assault

A Bowling Green man was arrested Sunday (9/29) for alleged assault outside a bar in the 300 block of East Wooster Street.

Bowling Green Police were outside the closed bar around 2:17 a.m., advising people to leave the parking lot, when they saw a fight involving two people. An estimated 30 to 50  people were surrounding the fight, some attempting to record the incident and others trying to help the two offenders.

The officers gave multiple orders to stop the fighting and get people to disperse from the area. One officer used pepper spray to get people involved in the altercation to stop.

One of the people involved in the fight, Braydon Skalku, 21, reportedly continued assaulting the other person, and resisted officers trying to get him to stop.

Bowling Green Fire Department was called to transport Skalku to the hospital due to head pain. After being cleared at the hospital, Skalku was transported to Wood County Jail. According to the police report, Skalku allegedly made multiple threats about killing the officer transporting him.
