On Friday, Jan. 13 at 1:30 p.m., a tribute to Reverend Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. will be held at the Wood County District Public Library, 251 N. Main St.
The tribute is sponsored by the City of Bowling Green Human Relations Commission and will feature keynote speaker Arto Woodley who is a scholar-in-residence at the Lang Center for Civic and Social Responsibility at Swarthmore College. Woodley’s presentation is titled – “Where Do We Go From Here: Chaos or Community.”
Musical selections will be performed by the BGHS Madrigals along with Sheila, Angelo, and Carla Brown, Beautiful Sunset.
Also at the event, the Human Relations Commission will present the annual Drum Major for Peace Award, named in honor of King.
There is no charge for the event and it is open to the public.
