The City of Bowling Green Tree Commission has announced the sixth annual tree photo contest, with the goal of raising awareness of Bowling Green’s urban forest that is found both on public and private property.
Citizens are asked to submit photos highlighting trees in all four seasons of the year: winter, spring, summer and fall.
The contest runs through Oct. 31, 2023. In November, the public will vote for the top photo in each category. The prize for the top photo will be a $25 gift certificate from a local nursery or garden center and a print of the photo from Main Street Photo.
To be eligible, the photos must be taken by amateur photographers living in Bowling Green. The photos must be taken within the city limits, and must be of trees – not other landscape plants.
Photos may be entered online at www.bgohio.org/TreePhotoContestEntryForm
