Through April 17—The MFA Thesis Exhibition continues through April 17 in the Dorothy Uber Bryan and Willard Wankelman galleries at the Fine Arts Center. Gallery hours are 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday, 6 to 9 p.m. Thursdays, and 1 to 4 p.m. Sundays. Free

April 14—BGSU vocal students will perform works from various opera scenes. The recital begins at 8 p.m. in Bryan Recital Hall of the Moore Musical Arts Center. Free

April 15—BGSU’s Wind Symphony will perform under the direction of Bruce Moss. The recital begins at 8 p.m. in Kobacker Hall of the Moore Musical Arts Center. April 17—The Sunday Matinee Series concludes this semester with U.S. films “The Show” (1922) and “The Hitch-hiker” (1953). “The Show” features forgotten comic of the silent area Larry Semon. He took fantastic, hair-raising tumbles and more—risking life and limb to satisfy audiences who took his astonishing, acrobatic feats for granted. Michael Peslikis will provide the piano accompaniment. “The Hitch-hiker” was based on a shocking, true story of a kidnapping and the mind-numbing consequences. The film quickly established Ida Lupino as a director of importance. The screening begins at 3 p.m. in the Gish Film Theater located in Hanna Hall and includes an introduction by film historian Dr. Jan Wahl.  Free

April 18—The Graduate String Quartet will perform in Bryan Recital Hall of the Moore Musical Arts Center at 8 p.m. Free

April 19—The Graduate String Quartet will perform at 7:30 p.m. at the Manor House in Wildwood Metropark, 5100 W. Central Ave., Toledo. Free

April 19—The College of Musical Arts’ Percussion Ensemble will perform in Kobacker Hall of the Moore Musical Arts Center. The recital begins at 8 p.m. Free

April 20—The College of Musical Arts’ Steel Drum Ensemble will perform in Bryan Recital Hall of the Moore Musical Arts Center at 8 p.m. Free

April 21—Join the Department of Theatre and Film for its final production of the 2015-16 Season, “Noises Off.” A comedic play by Michael Frayn, directed by Dr. Geoffrey Stephenson, “Noises Off” presents a manic menagerie as a cast of itinerant actors rehearsing a flop called “Nothing’s On.” The show will begin at 8 p.m. in the Donnell Theatre at the Wolfe Center for the Arts. Additional performances will be at 8 p.m. on April 22 and 23 and 2 p.m. on April 23 and 24. Advance tickets are $5 for students and children and $15 for adults.
