Blame Hamas for death toll in Gaza

I just saw this in your article about Gaza:

Israel’s retaliatory attack on Gaza to destroy Hamas has claimed more than 18,000 lives, mostly civilians, including infants and the elderly. And the death toll keeps rising.

Hamas uses civilians as human shields, including children and the elderly, and so this statement is incredibly misleading and dangerous, as it may prompt people to commit violence against Israelis and Jews in America. I have been sent nasty messages numerous times by “Palestine” supporters from all over the world (and yes, I checked to make sure they were not bots) over the last two months, and statements like that only add to terrorism against Jews and non-Jewish Israeli sympathizers in the US. The fact that someone with no Jewish ancestry such as myself gets harassed over this should itself be proof that Israel is in the right. There is an abundance of footage on social media documenting the use of civilians as human shields by Hamas.  Hamas has beheaded babies, cooked babies in ovens, and burned alive entire families, including infants and the elderly. “Palestine” supporters denied all of this and still do in spite of all the evidence. When Hamas bombed a hospital, every “anti-colonialist” in the West immediately blamed Israel, without hesitation, and still does even after it has been confirmed that Hamas was responsible. In 2018 a convert to Islam plotted to shoot up two Toledo synagogues precisely over their support for Israel. Please keep that in mind when mentioning casualties by the IDF in the future, especially given what Hamas has done to civilians, especially infants and the elderly. Yes, among those killed by the IDF were innocent civilians, that happens in every war ever documented. The difference is that the IDF actually warns people ahead of time. I know of no case where an American Jew travelled to, say, Morocco or Malaysia to attack a mosque, yet I can think of many cases involving the reverse.

When operations began, the IDF did its best to move civilians in the opposite direction from where the bombing would take place, yet, as seen on social media, Hamas gunned down countless civilians fleeing the area, and kidnapped those the western media would “sympathize with” (children and elderly) to use as human shields, thereby trying to prevent the IDF from shooting them. Our governor was recently “heckled” at the masjid in Perrysburg due to claims that Israel was killing civilians en masse. While there are dozens of reasons to dislike DeWine, his support for Israel isn’t one of them. This is the fifth long email I have had to send over the past three days to people in order to clarify misconceptions floating in the air about the current war. I will say that Simon’s take is much better than what one generally hears (though as I noted, it is not perfect). I also want to note that the IDF has never attacked Gaza or any other “Palestinian” area during Ramadan, but that Israel was attacked on the most holy Jewish holiday over the years. This point is especially never mentioned by the media, even though it confirms that every Israeli sympathizer already knows: that the attacks on Israel are driven by hatred of Jews, not the Israeli ethnicity (as many Israelis are not practicing Jews). We are currently in Hannukah yet attacks on Jews, including in America, have been on the rise. No similar situation ever happened on Ramadan, anywhere in the world. Hannukah is about driving the invaders out of the Holy Land. Those returning home after several thousand years in exile are not “settlers” any more than whites with Nordic ancestry in Minnesota moving to Norway.

What would such a deal look like? The Palestinians would get statehood and control of the West Bank and Gaza.

There already are THREE Arab countries immediately next to Israel: Jordan, Lebanon, and Egypt, yet neither wants those “refugees” from Gaza or the “West Bank”. Jordan could have had East Jerusalem and what is called the “West Bank” had it stayed out of the Six-Day War. That didn’t happen. The reason Islamic countries are so obsessed with Israel has absolutely nothing to do with Pan-Arabism, since many of those countries like Turkey, Iran, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Indonesia, and Malaysia are not Arab majority countries anyway, but due to hatred of Jews. Samaritans of course are neither Arab nor Muslim yet their voices are never amplified or recognized by Israel’s enemies, including in America, where Samaritans are never invited to heated rallies hosted by “Palestine” supporters. “Palestinians” have no unique cultural or religious identity and so it is impossible for them to be viewed as a separate people. “Palestinians” are culturally, religiously, and linguistically identical to every other Arab people, excluding of course the Samaritans, who do not identify as “Palestinians” since they refer to their land as “Samaria” and not “Palestine”. I have asked everyone from random laywomen in Egypt to tenured professors at Cambridge to define a “Palestinian” and they have all refused.

Lastly, I want to mention that Hindus have been photographed praying at the Wailing Wall.  If a non-Muslim walked within ten feet of the Dome of the Rock, well, things wouldn’t go as smoothly. Lastly, I just noticed Simon’s claim about Israel “overreacting”: no Zionist, to my knowledge, has ever hijacked an airplane outside the Holy Land (unlike “Palestine” supporters) or assassinated an American presidential candidate over their policy towards the Middle-East (e.g. RFK senior). Given the extreme restraint Jews in general have had over the past five-thousand years, I don’t think we’ll see an assassination of an RFK by a Jew or Zionist.

Best,
