BRAVE will host its 5th annual Juneteenth celebration at the Wooster Green on June 15, from 2-8 p.m. The event will celebrate freedom and honor Black culture in the Bowling Green community.
The event will feature Black-owned businesses selling their products ranging from skincare to accessories, and live music, genres spanning from R&B to Neo-Soul by artists Mike Williams on Sax, Will Kellum, Jasmine Renee, Jon Torrence, L.I.V.E Hightower, with special host Toni Gordon.
Food truck Fat Boyz by Al & Zoe and Stacks Chicken will be serving Caribbean cuisines, and Fat Boyz will have their hot wings and burgers for the duration of the event. BRAVE welcomes attendees of all ages to drop by throughout the day to enjoy experiences, food, music, art, as well as kids activities such as bouncy houses, yard games, and face painting.

The mission of BRAVE is to combat the oppression of Black Americans by opening channels to resources, education and opportunities through economic empowerment, community development and civic engagement-access. The organization also strives to create inclusive environments where Black people can freely embrace their culture as well as their identities.
