Brett Eckhart, 54, of Bowling Green, Ohio passed away Sunday, January 19, 2020. He was born on October 4, 1965 to the late Robert Eckhart and Sharon Gillespie.
Brett is survived by his daughter Jocelyn Eckhart of Las Vegas, Nevada; brother Brad (Rachel) Eckhart of Bowling Green, Ohio; and grand-dog Shotzi. He was preceded in death by his parents; sister Lindy Avery; brother Robert Eckhart; and cousins: Richard and Robert Gillespie.
Brett worked as a maintenance technician, specifically HVAC for over 30 years. He worked in North Carolina, South Carolina, Ohio and was even contracted as a HVAC specialist in Iraq. He was a fire arms enthusiast, and loved quoting funny movies and standup comedy bits. Brett was member of the Bowling Green Eagles 2180 and was an auxiliary member of the VFW.
A Memorial Gathering for Brett will be held on Thursday, January 23, 2020 from 4:00 PM until the time of his Celebration of Life Service at 6:00 PM in the Deck-Hanneman Funeral Home 1460 W Wooster Street, Bowling Green, Ohio 43402.
In keeping with Brett’s wishes, often quoted comedy tracks will be played overhead, and video clips will be played at his celebration of life. PARENTAL ADVISORY WILL CONTAIN EXPLICIT CONTENT and casual attire is mandatory!
Memorial Contributions in Brett’s honor may be gifted to the Wood County Library or the Wood County Humane Society.
