Carl E. Sander age 59, of Old Fort, OH passed away at home surrounded by family on Thursday, December 26, 2024. He was born on February 3, 1965 in Toledo, OH to Lowell and Verna (Ruch) Sander. He married the love of his life Sheri on October 28, 1995 at Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Pemberville, OH. Carl and Sheri raised 5 children and celebrated over 32 years together.
Carl worked for Prospira America in Upper Sandusky for over 7 years, and for Whirlpool in Clyde, OH prior to that for 25 years. His family remembers him as the most loving, caring, greatest husband, father, brother, and grandpa. Carl enjoyed working on cars, the outdoors, going to concerts, riding his Harley, going to drag races, attending family functions, and taking his famous grandpa naps. Carl had many joys in life, but it was spending time with his family, especially his grandkids that remained his greatest joy.
In addition to his wife Sheri, Carl is survived by his children Kyle Slone of Old Fort, Holden Slone of Bowling Green, Krystal (Raphael) Sanchez of Old Fort, Amber (Charlie) Parker of Fostoria, and Pearl Sander of Old Fort; grandchildren Luna, Faolan, Alice, and Koraline; brothers Jeff Sander of Risingsun, and Chuck (Patti) Sander of Stony Ridge. Carl is preceded in death by his parents; sister Roxanne (Ken) Dick, infant brother Craig Sander; and sister-in-law Debbie Sander.
