Carol Weis Jones passed away on Saturday December 28, 2024, with her son by her side. She was born on April 20, 1938, in Sandusky, Ohio, daughter of the late Victor and Catharine (Hampe) Weis.
Born and raised in Sandusky, Ohio, she was a proud graduate of Sandusky High School class of 1956. After graduating high school, she attended Miami University of Ohio where she was a member of Pi Beta Phi Sorority.
After marrying her husband Wendell Jones, they moved to Bowling Green, Ohio, where Carol earned a bachelor’s degree in Social Work at Bowling Green State University.
During her time in Bowling Green, she was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church, and helped to raise money for PBS television. Carol then worked for years at Wood County Behavioral Connections where she was awarded “Social Worker of the Year”.
In addition to her parents, Carol was preceded in death by her loving husband, Wendell Jones, daughter Janet Renee Jones, her sister Cathy Price, and nephews Michael and Mathew Kaman.
She is survived by her treasured son Jack Reid Brinker, sister Emmy (Weis) Wolff, nieces Elizabeth Wolff Darke, Emmy Price Dobyns; great nieces Catharine Kaman Sostre and Eve Victoria Darke; nephew Jeffery Wolff; and great nephews Nicholas, Evan and Alexander Dobyns, and Jackson Darke.
Memorial contributions may be given to the Alzheimer Association or a charity of the donor’s choice.
Carol will be missed dearly by all who knew and loved her and remembered for her constant and unwavering selflessness and generosity.
