Caroline Asmus, 72, from near Tontogany, Ohio and formerly of Haskins Ohio died at her home on August 27, 2016. She was born September 11, 1943 to Myron John and Mary Louise (Dickerson) Myerholtz in Toledo. On June 17, 1961 she married Delton “Bill” Asmus at St. Mark Lutheran Church in Bowling Green, Ohio.
Caroline was a Licensed Practical Nurse for over 35 years. She retried from the Bowling Green Clinic in June 2014. She was a long time member of St. Paul Lutheran Church. Mrs. Asmus enjoyed spending time with her family, watching her grandchildren’s sporting events and watching her great grandson Parker. Caroline was also an avid gardener.
Caroline is survived by her mother Mary Louise Myerholtz, children Lauri (Doug) Conkey of Bowling Green, Mark (Kathy) Asmus of Temperance and Kirk (Shara) Asmus of Haskins, her grandchildren Erica, Ashley, Christopher, David, Ben , Claire , Kylie and Hailey, her great grandchildren Parker, Aiden, Madisyn, Alexa and Landon, her brothers Dave (Nancy) Myerholtz of Waterville, Art (Judy) Myerholtz of Bowling Green, and Dan (Diane) Myerholtz of Bowling Green and her sister Janet Collins of Bowling Green. She was preceded in death by her husband Bill Asmus, her sister Louise Noon, brother Raymond Myerholtz and her father Myron Myerholtz.
Friends and family are invited to a visitation on Wednesday August 31 from 3 to 8 pm at the Peinert Dunn Funeral Home, 18620 Washington St. Tontogany, Ohio. Funeral Services will be held Thursday 11 am at St. Paul Lutheran Church, 17050 Middleton Pike, Bowling Green. Burial will follow at the Tontogany Cemetery.
