Carter Historic Farm to celebrate harvest at ‘Heritage Farm Fest’ on Oct. 4

From WOOD COUNTY PARK DISTRICT

The Wood County Park District has invited the community to Carter Historic Farm, 18331 Carter Road, Bowling Green, to celebrate the harvest at the “Heritage Farm Fest” on Saturday, Oct. 4, from 11 a.m. – 3 p.m. This event is free and open to all.

Attendees are invited to enjoy a day on the farm with live music, a farm-to-table meal, wagon rides, sauerkraut raffles, hay-day games, and more. All ages can experience a depression-era harvest celebration. Access to on-site parking is off Simonds Road.

With support of the Friends of the Wood County Parks, along with games, back at the Carter Farm Schoolhouse, there will be framed photos available for purchase via donations of cash or check. Proceeds of the donations will go in support of the Wood County’s portion of the Chessie Circle Trail. To learn more, visit https://wcparks.org/chessie-circle-trail/.

There will be community partners in attendance, including BG Falcon Media, Wood County District Public Library, and the Friends of the Wood County Parks. Kiwanis of Bowling Green has also provided support for this event.
