Charles M. Organ, 95, of Bowling Green, OH passed away on July 30, 2024, at the age of 95 after a brief illness. Chuck was born on November 21, 1928, in Bowling Green, OH, to the late Donald and Ruth (Maley) Organ.
Chuck dedicated his life to his family and his business customers. He married the love of his life, Mary “Becky” (Wyatt) Organ, on July 5, 1947, at the First Methodist Church in Greenup, KY. Together, they shared an incredible 77 years of marriage. Chuck graduated from Bowling Green High School in 1946 and went on to establish C.M. Organ Collision Service in 1955, which he owned and operated until his retirement in 1995.
Chuck was a member of the First Presbyterian Church for 66 years. He was an active member of the Wood County Lodge #112 F. & A.M. for 74 years, holding a special place in the hearts of his fellow members. He was also a member of The Order of the Eastern Stars, and the Elks. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, as well as dancing, playing cards, fishing, sailing, and visiting Disney World. Chuck also loved summering at Big Star Lake, MI and wintering in Haines City, FL.
Known for his integrity, kindness, humor and wisdom, Chuck touched the lives of all who knew him. He was deeply loved by his wife, Becky; his sons Don (Chanie) Organ and Chuck (Cathy) Organ, his daughter Kathleen (Keith) Stilwell; 10 grandchildren; and numerous great and great great-grandchildren.
The memorial gathering to celebrate Chuck’s remarkable life will be held on August 22, 2024 from 3:00pm until the time of his Masonic Service at 4:00 pm at 1460 W. Wooster Street, Bowling Green, OH 43402.
Chuck was preceded in death by his parents: Donald and Ruth Organ; a great granddaughter; and his brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law: Ralph (Marrietta) Wyatt and Jessie (Joe) Sgalato.
Contributions in Chuck’s honor may be gifted to Bridge Hospice or an organization of the donor’s choice.
