Child succumbs to injuries suffered in July 9 crash

Braxton James, 4, succumbed early this morning from injuries suffered in a crash July 9  in Lake Township.

According to a post on a GoFundMe page set up to support the family, Braxton died at 3 a.m. this morning (July 16) at Toledo Children’s Hospital where he has been on life support since the crash.

Braxton was a passenger in a car  driven by his mother, Analita Clark, 24, of Toledo. She was headed west on State Route 795 when her 2010 Ford Fusion was struck by a 2010 Toyota Corolla driven by Ervin Kosch, 50, of Walbridge, who failed to yield while making a left turn onto 795.

Braxton’s 3-year-old brother Greysen was transported with the scene with no injuries. Clark was seriously injured in the crash. Kosch suffered non-life threatening injuries.
