The CIFT Agribusiness Forum for April will explore the transformative role of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in agriculture and its practical impact on farming operations.
Andrew Drerup, director of precision agriculture at Truland Equipment, will discuss how AI is reshaping operational changes in the agricultural industry from increased efficiency and reduced expenses to advancements in autonomous equipment.
Drerup has more than two decades of industry experience and extensive expertise in precision agriculture. He will share insights into how AI tools such as weed-sensing technology, autonomous tillage, harvest automation and predictive diagnostics are helping growers reduce labor needs, enhance profitability, and prepare for the future of farming.
The forum is April 17 from 8 to 10 a.m. at the Agricultural Incubator Foundation/Northwest Ohio Cooperative Kitchen, 13737 Middleton Pike (Ohio 582), Bowling Green.
