From CIFT (Center for Innovative Food Technology)
Ohio’s energy infrastructure is changing faster than ever before, and with it comes new challenges and opportunities for farmers and agribusiness owners. These projects are happening in fields and across rural communities, from wind and solar to pipelines and transmission upgrades.
Dale Arnold, director of Energy, Utility and Local Government Policy for the Ohio Farm Bureau will be the featured speaker for the May Agribusiness Forum hosted by CIFT. With over 30 years of experience, Arnold will provide critical insights into:
- The types, scale, and jurisdiction of today’s energy projects
- What to look for in easements, leases, and siting agreements
- Why you should never feel rushed to sign an energy deal
The forum will be held on May 15. Participants may attend in person at the Northwest Ohio Cooperative Kitchen, 13737 Middleton Pike, or online. Doors open at 8 a.m., and the program will be from 8:30 a.m. to 10 a.m. Whether you’re already facing energy proposals or want to be prepared for what’s coming, the forum will offer essential guidance. Registration for the in-person and virtual meeting is on the CIFT website.
