Bowling Green State University reported a decrease in the number of COVID cases on campus this week.
As of Wednesday, 118 – 76 confirmed and 42 suspected – were reported on campus. Of those, 114 were students (74 and 40), and four were among the faculty and staff (two and two).
That’s down from the 215 cases reported the previous week.
Twenty-three students who have tested positive are isolated in campus housing and three who have been exposed are quarantined in residence halls.
Since the beginning of the semester, 379 confirmed and suspected cases have been reported. Of those three have been faculty and six staff.
The university’s dashboard shows 58.7 percent of students have reported being vaccinated. The university has confirmed 46.9 percent are vaccinated.
The reported rate among staff and faculty is 69.9 percent.
By the beginning of the spring semester, all students, faculty and staff will need to be vaccinated or have received an exemption for reasons of health, religious or personal conscience.
