Fifth graders from Crim Elementary went to the Bowling Green Community Center Tuesday for a camp replacement day.
At the center they did orienteering, an obstacle course, hula hoop tick-tack-toe, the climbing wall, shooting hoops and other activities.
This was the second year that fifth graders in the district have had alternative experiences to the traditional fifth grade outdoor education camp.
At the Board of Education later Tuesday, the board approved a contract with Michindoh, a camp in Hillsdale, Michigan, for the outdoor education program from Sept. 26-30.
Scheduling the program is “another sign that things are coming back to somewhat normal,” Superintendent Francis Scruci said at the board meeting.
