A plant on the south edge of Bowling Green is closing and terminating 110 jobs.
Curation Foods, the former Greenline business, at 12700 South Dixie Highway, announced the plant closing in a letter to OhioMeansJobs Wood County.
The notification is required under the Worker Adjustment and Retraining Notification Act (WARN).
The entire plant will be closing, and all the 110 employees will be terminated. The terminations are expected to take place during the 14-day period beginning Jan. 31.
The planned closing is expected to be permanent. No transfer or bumping rights exist, according to the notification. The company has reportedly notified the affected employees, who are not represented by a union.
Curation Foods’ fresh packaged salads, green beans and fresh cut vegetable business, was acquired in December by Taylor Farms. The assets included the Eat Smart brand and production facilities in Guadalupe, California, and Bowling Green. The addition of Curation Foods’ packaged salad and fresh cut vegetables business is intended to help the Taylor Farms Retail Division meet consumers’ growing demand for chopped salads and fresh cut vegetables.
