Cynthia “Cindy” Jayne Loomis, age 64 of Port Charlotte, FL passed away after a 15 year battle with oral cancer on October 26, 2020. She was born on May 19, 1956 in Toledo, OH to William and Marie (Hickman) Firsdon, who preceded her in death.
Cindy graduated from Bowling Green High School in 1974 and graduated college from Owens Technical College in 1984. She worked as a Bowling Green Police Division Dispatcher before earning her associates degree and becoming a Police Officer with Bowling Green State University Police Department and eventually achieving the rank of Corporal. Cindy worked there from 1985-2000, when she retired. Cindy loved traveling and cruising with her husband and soulmate, Ralph. She lived and enjoyed the Florida lifestyle. It’s no surprise that Cindy was voted class clown in high school, as she always had a way of making people laugh, no matter what she was going through herself.
Cindy will be forever cherished and missed by her husband, Ralph Loomis of Port Charlotte, FL, whom she married on February 23, 1996; her daughter, Amy Weaks of Bowling Green, OH; her brother, Randy (Tammy) Firsdon of Bowling Green, OH; and her special brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Roger and Kathy Loomis of Port Charlotte, FL.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
A Memorial Gathering for Cindy will be held on Saturday, November 14, 2020 from 10:00am until the time of her Celebration of Life Service at noon in the Deck-Hanneman Funeral Home 1460 W. Wooster Street, Bowling Green, Ohio 43402. Interment will follow at Oak Grove Cemetery, Bowling Green.
