Daniel Tatkowski, 95, of Bowling Green, Ohio passed away January 13, 2024. Daniel was born in Toledo, Ohio on May 31, 1928 to the late Anthony and Minnie (Kleparek) Tatkowski. He married Donna Punches on July 26, 1974 and they were married for 43 years before she preceded him in death on July 19, 2017.
Daniel is survived by his stepchildren: Connie Punches, Karen (Larry) Panning, Nancy Martin, Colleen Johnston, Rob (Donna) Punches, Dan (Marilyn) Punches, Bill (Brenda) Punches, John (Brenda) Punches, Tracy (Cassie) Punches, and a host of loving grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. Daniel was preceded in death by his parents, and siblings William, Louis, Chester, Alice Smalley, and Jean Szmania.
Daniel proudly served his country in the United States Marine Corp during WWII where he was a marksman. When he returned home, he was on a rifle team until the late 1970s. He worked for Libby-Owens-Ford and was a boxer who won the Golden Glove State Championship in 1959. Daniel was a member of the Tontogany American Legion. He was known as a hardworker all his life and he will be greatly missed.
Graveside services will be held on Wednesday, January 17, 2024 at 10:00 AM in Calvary Cemetery, Toledo.
