Deborah M. Hankey, 62, of Luckey, OH, passed away at home on Tuesday, December 31, 2024 with her husband Dave at her side. She was born on March 13, 1962 in Canton, OH. On August 9, 2011she married David L. Hankey in Perrysburg, OH. Deborah and Dave celebrated over 13 years of marriage together.
In addition to being a homemaker, Deborah was self-employed 30 plus years working as an accountant. She enjoyed traveling, and was very fond of the East Coast, particularly the New England States, where she had hoped to retire. One of her enjoyments was playing cards and electronic gaming participating in global teams. Her greatest joy was spending time with her husband and their two dogs.
In addition to her husband Dave, Deborah is survived by her son; Eric Weber of Bowling Green, uncle; Bob (Florence) Stahleker of PA, aunt; Nancy Stahleker of Massillon, OH, and k-9 pals: Beabulls, Titan and Bruzer. She was preceded in death by her father; Carl Stewart and uncle; Jan Stahleker.
There are no public services at this time. Deborah will be laid to rest near her home at Troy Township Cemetery in Luckey, OH. In Lieu of flowers the family requests that memorials take the form of contributions to: Disabled American Vets or St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital.
