Denise C Niese, 63, passed away on Friday, November 29, 2024. Denise was born on February 13, 1961 to Thural and Gladys (Hawkins) Williams. There are not words to express the depth to which Denise will be missed by her family, friends, and the community. She was the most incredibly loving and devoted wife, mother and friend.
The life focus, commitment and passion of Denise was to enhance the lives of individuals in the community, primarily advocating for the enrichment of the senior community. The career path of Denise culminated with her serving as the Executive Director of the Wood County Committee on Aging. Denise’s superpower was her innate ability to establish a close, personal connection upon first meeting. Whether your acquaintance to Denise was as family, or friend or a member of the community in her service, invariably, see saw you as each. She had the ability to convince you to do what needed to be done, because you knew she would do anything for you.
Denise is a graduate of Vermilion (Ohio) High School, University of Toledo, and Spring Arbor University. In her free time, she enjoyed reading, serving on various community groups, and hosting family and friends at their cabin in Northern Ontario.
Denise is preceded in death by her father, Thural Williams and brother, Thural Jr. Surviving is her husband, Dale; sons, Benjamin and Andrew; mother, Gladys (Hawkins) Williams; brother, Warren; sisters, Linda Moyers, Marlene Minney, and Ruthann Jacobs. Too many to mention, Denise had so many loving in-laws, secondary family members and friends who made life for her special and precious.
Arrangements are being handled by Eggleston Meinert & Pavley (egglestonmeinert.com). A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, January 11, 2025 from 1:00 to 6:00pm at the Wood County Committee on Aging, 140 S. Grove St., Bowling Green, Ohio.
